The profession of tax consultants is primarily subject to the regulations of the Tax Consulting Act (Steuerberatungsgesetz, StBerG), the implementing Regulation to the Tax Consultant Act (Durchführungsverordnung zum Steuerberatungsgesetz, DVStB), the Professional Code of the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants (Berufsordnung der Bundessteuerberaterkammer, BOStB), and the Tax Consultant Fees Ordinance (Steuerberatergebührenverordnung, StBGebV). The statutory professional titles „Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft” and „Wirtschaftsprüfer”, as well as „Steuerberatungsgesellschaft” and „Steuerberater”, were conferred in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The iNUX Meyer & Partner Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft Steuerberatungsgesellschaft maintains the professional liability insurance required under § 8 (4) of the German Partnership Act (PartGG) in conjunction with § 54 of the German Public Accountant Act (WPO) and § 67 of the German Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG) to protect its clients. This insurance covers risks arising from all activities within the professional scope of auditors and tax advisors. The insurer is Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherung AG, Gothaer Allee 1, 50969 Cologne, Germany. The geographical scope of the insurance coverage includes at least the member states of the European Union.
